MOBILE SCAFFOLD TOWER TRAINING

 

Our Scaffold training course is aimed at personnel who will be responsible for assembling, dismantling, moving and pre-use inspecting scaffolding, whilst using 3T or Advance Guardrail (AGR) systems.

COURSE AIMS

 

  • To state the main aims of the Health & Safety at Work Acts 1974
  • Work-At-Height Regulations 2005 and other associated regulations
  • To understand the need for accident prevention and control
  • To understand the need for safe erection and dismantling procedures
  • To train the user to a level of competence to carry out inspections on mobile access towers
  • To create safe systems of work while working with mobile access towers
  • To understand employees responsibilities

MOBILE SCAFFOLD TOWER TRAINING COURSE OVERVIEW

 

  • Duration: 1 day
  • Start time: 8:30am course registration
  • Duration: approximately 7/8 hours
  •  Numbers: maximum of 8 delegates
  • Certification: successful candidates will receive a Skyreach certificate of competency
  • Valid period: each certificate is valid for 5 years

MOBILE SCAFFOLD TOWER TRAINING COURSE CONTENT

 

  • Introduction –why the need for training? Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 (sections 2 & 7)
  • Work-At-Height Regulations 2005
  • Inspections and registers
  • Safe systems of work Component, use and inspections to be carried out
  • Toeboards and handrails
  • Height to base ratio –use of outriggers and stabilisers
  • Assessment paper
  • Practical session –erection and dismantling of the mobile access tower

This is a generic training course based around the selected category of equipment and not make specific.
Duration of the course is dependent on number of candidates and equipment type and may vary accordingly.
For all on-site training, we reserve the right to apply a minimum number of delegates to attend each course.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Each candidate requires a safety helmet, safety footware and any necessary Personal Protective Equipment for the practical session.
For all on site training courses a suitable class room and demonstration area is required for the theory and practical sessions.
For on site training the client is responsible for supplying equipment in good working order, with the correct type/number of components to build the scaffold to the manufacturers recommendations and to meet the relevant regulations and build methods.
