INSPECTION OF LADDERS & STEPS TRAINING
This course is aimed at those who intend to carry out detailed inspections of ladders and steps in the workplace.
On successful completion each delegate will be able to carry out a thorough inspection of each asset, fault find, record and complete the required paperwork which needs to be retained as evidence that the inspection has taken place.
Please note – delegates attending this course need to have successfully completed the Ladder & Step User course beforehand.
COURSE OVERVIEW
- Duration: 1 day
- Start time: 8:30am course registration
- Duration: approximately 7/8 hours
- Certification: successful candidates will receive a Skyreach certificate of competency
COURSE AGENDA
- Introduction and housekeeping
- H&S guidelines, regulations and legislation
- Product standards and classifications
- Assessing and determining when it is appropriate to inspect a ladder or stepladder
- Recording findings and recommended action to take if faults are found
- Accurately record details of ladders and steps
- Inspection records
- Practical session to include the following:-
- Ladder & step ladder fault finding
- Completion of correct paperwork and records
- End of course evaluation
PLEASE NOTE
For all on site training courses a suitable class room and demonstration area is required for the theory and practical sessions.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Duration of the course is dependent on the number of candidates and equipment type and may vary accordingly. For all on-site training, we reserve the right to apply a minimum number of delegates to attend each course.
